Cleaning

Ultimate Bare Floor Cleaning

Combining an design with user-friendly features, this canister vacuum cleaner makes it easy to keep the home clean, from top to bottom. The portable unit maneuvers smoothly from room to room on two large wheels, and it transitions effortlessly from carpets and rugs to bare-floor surfaces like tile, linoleum, or hard wood. Simply slide the lever on the carpet/hard-floor nozzle into position--from "normal" to "brush".

For above-floor cleaning, the vacuum provides an array of on-board attachments including a telescopic tube, a hose and hose handle, a crevice tool, and a combination nozzle/brush for curtains, bookshelves, frames, and more. Other highlights include a high-efficiency motor, low noise output of only 60 DBA, a replaceable motor filter, and a bag-full indicator. This canister vacuum comes with a special foot-activated on and off button and a carrying handle. The adjustable suction power feature offers suction control on the vacuum cleaner as well as on the hose handle. When finished, a foot pedal rewinds the cord into the unit for compact storage. An ‘S dust bag’ comes included. The vacuum cleaner measures approximately 12.5 by 11 by 14 inches and carries a two-year limited warranty.

Designed with a healthier planet in mind, the vacuum cleaner's construction features 55-percent plastic from recycled materials, plus 80-percent of its packaging comes from recycled unbleached cardboard.

The Green Innovation

Through a product life-cycle approach, we know how much energy is consumed in manufacturing, during operation and at disposal. The Electrolux Ultrasilencer Green uses 33% less energy and is made with 55% recycled plastic. It illustrates the impact and potential benefits a smart vacuum cleaner can have on a consumer’s carbon footprint.

Energy savings and recycling rank highly as pro-climate activities in consumer research studies. The Electrolux Ultra-silencer Green meets the demand for energy efficiency and more sustainable material use. Without compromising quality, performance or noise, it presents:
• 33% greater energy efficiency
• 55% recycled plastic
An efficient suction fan unit combined with our Dust Magnet Floor Nozzle helps deliver the same performance in terms of dust pick-up with a lower wattage motor. Vacuum motors often waste energy by producing heat. Our 1,250W motor and nozzle produce comparable dust pick-up and little heat.

Production and Transport

With recycled material, we consume 90% less energy during manufacturing than is used to produce the same components with virgin plastics. By using 55% recycled PP content for the body of the vacuum, 2 liters of crude oil and 80 liters of water are saved per vacuum cleaner. Ultrasilencer Green is manufactured in Lehel, Hungary. Products are distributed from the plant by truck. Through its Green Spirit program, Lehel has a program in place to contribute to Group targets to reduce energy and water use.

Make Change for a Better Climate With the Ultrasilencer Green, we aim to change the perception that high wattage equates to greater cleaning performance, by promising the same cleaning effect with lower energy. ‘Make a change for a better climate’ communicates that smart purchasing choices can impact consumer carbon footprints.

The use phase represents about 75% of the product’s environmental impact. In its lifecycle, cutting energy used to operate the vacuum presents our greatest opportunity to save CO2. On average, a vacuum is used an hour a week and is expected to service a home for ten years. In its lifetime,

Review & Description

Most startups fail. But many of those failures are preventable.  The Lean Startup is a new approach being adopted across the globe, changing the way companies are built and new products are launched.

Eric Ries defines a startup as an organization dedicated to creating something new under conditions of extreme uncertainty. This is just as true for one person in a garage or a group of seasoned professionals in a Fortune 500 boardroom. What they have in common is a mission to penetrate that fog of uncertainty to discover a successful path to a sustainable business.

The Lean Startup approach fosters companies that are both more capital efficient and that leverage human creativity more effectively.  Inspired by lessons from lean manufacturing, it relies on “validated learning,” rapid scientific experimentation, as well as a number of counter-intuitive practices that shorten product development cycles, measure actual progress without resorting to vanity metrics, and learn what customers really want. It enables a company to shift directions with agility, altering plans inch by inch, minute by minute.

Rather than wasting time creating elaborate business plans, The Lean Startup offers entrepreneurs - in companies of all sizes - a way to test their vision continuously, to adapt and adjust before it’s too late. Ries provides a scientific approach to creating and managing successful startups in a age when companies need to innovate more than ever.

Review & Description

This ebook is complete with linked Table of Content making navigation quicker and easier.

The Law of Success in Sixteen Lessons includes what Hill describes as the True Philosophy upon which all Personal Success is Built. From Self Confidence to Imagination and all aspects of personality and habits in between Hill spells out the steps to success.

Napoleon Hill was an American author who was one of the earliest producers of the modern genre of personal-success literature. His most famous work, Think and Grow Rich, is one of the best-selling books of all time. Hill's works examined the power of personal beliefs, and the role they play in personal success. He became the adviser to President Franklin D. Roosevelt from 1933-36. "What the mind of man can conceive and believe, it can achieve" is one of Hill's hallmark expressions. How achievement actually occurs, and a formula for it that puts success in reach for the average person, were the focal points of Hill's books.

The turning point in the writing career of Napoleon Hill is considered to have occurred in 1908 with his assignment, as part of a series of articles about famous men, to interview the industrialist Andrew Carnegie, one of the most powerful men in the world. Hill discovered that Carnegie believed that the process of success could be elaborated in a simple formula that could be duplicated by the average person. Impressed with Hill, Carnegie asked him if he was up to the task of putting together this information with only reimbursement for out-of-pocket expenses to interview or analyze over 500 successful men and women, many of them millionaires, in order to discover and publish this formula for success.

As part of his research, Hill interviewed many of the most famous people of the time, including Thomas Edison, Alexander Graham Bell, George Eastman, Henry Ford, Elmer Gates, John D. Rockefeller, Sr., Charles M. Schwab, F.W. Woolworth, William Wrigley Jr., John Wanamaker, William Jennings Bryan, Joseph Stalin, Theodore Roosevelt, William H. Taft, Woodrow Wilson, and Jennings Randolph. Hill was also an advisor to two presidents of the United States of America, Woodrow Wilson and Franklin Delano Roosevelt.

As a result of Hill's studies via Carnegie's introductions, the Philosophy of Achievement was offered as a formula for rags-to-riches success by Hill and Carnegie, published initially in 1928 as a study course called The Law of Success. ---From Wikipedia

Review & Description

Ben Casnocha discovered he was entrepreneur at age 12 and hasn't slowed down since. In this remarkably instructive book, Ben dissects the entrepreneurship "gene," explaining that everyone has inherited it if they have an idea to make the world a better place. In Casnocha's case, he found a better way for city governments to communicate with constituents on the Web. Six years later, Comcate has dozens of municipal clients, a growing staff, and a record of excellence. This book is the story of his start-up, but also a conversation with his mentors, clients and fellow entrepreneurs about how to make a business idea work?and how to have the time of your life trying. From Pat Lencioni to Marc Benioff of salesforce.com, Ben has won over the best and brightest of the business world?now it's your turn!
